WE MADE IT!!!
Quick Note: Unlike last New Year's when I wrote one of these, this is going to be a very short post.... here's hoping I won't look back on it 365 days from now and realize how foolishly, hilariously unprepared I sounded :[
After 5 long years, we finally finished in 2020! There were MANY bad things (not that anyone needs reminding) and little may actually change this next year, but God is STILL good!! In all of the uncertainty, He continued to reveal new ways to experience joy and growth even in the ugliest of this year-- I have been learning to walk my faith in ways I've never walked before. There is still much work to be done, but for the first time in a long while, I can look back and see definitively where I have taken steps forward.
(Though I'm sure we could all do with some forgetting...I certainly will not miss all the Zoom chem labs, the constant political upheaval, or the friggin murder hornets??!)
I could talk about many more things: the move up to Oregon and introduction to a whole new life, the sudden move back home and re-adjustment within a pandemic, the new friendships I made, and the old friendships I've rekindled (both of which I feel so undeservedly lucky to have been given)...
... All in all, it can easily be said that 2020 was the most memorable year if ever in this lifetime there's been one! Happy 2021, we'll see what awaits us next! 😷✌️
